Hey, gang,

The guestbook is going to be closed for a bit, due to vacation time. :) BTW, the Colm person below is a schoolchild--yes, it's the same person each time--who will shortly have his ISP placed on the OneNet ban list. It's a pity a fine actor like Colm Wilkinson has to be misrepresented by bored people like this.

Thankyou Krista for the best MC site on the net, particularly for the Australian content you include in the news section for us Aussies. I've been a Michael fan since the '70's, although little of his work was known in Australia until "Phantom" appeared. He is definaltly the best singer, actor, storyteller and personality alive today. He becomes the PHANTOM whenever he sings the phantom music, may he be cast as the Phantom if the movie eventuates. I look forward to his return to Australia in September in the concert. Thanks Krista also for another favorite site of mine, Phantom books, you've started me on the road to another hobby. Congratulations on your recent graduation. Thanks again for my favorite web site on my favorite personality.

Being a South African, I will probably never have the privilege of seeing Michael Crawford perform in person, but fortunately I am still able to enjoy his music. So far I have all his albums that have been released here. I think he's wonderful as the Phantom and nobody would ever come near his rendition of "Music of the Night". Thanks for this web page. I'm also still new to the Web and this was the first place I went to.

I have been a fan since 1992. I quit MCIFA 2 years ago,'s I didn't like the turn they were taking, also they never would reply to my letters on why they would never put my dear friend"s name on their list in the newsletter of those who have passed away. They never even answered my letters. I wanted to honer her memory by having her name in the newsletter and she was a member in good standing. I feel better getting that off my chest. My friend's name was Dianne McNulty, she passed away suddenly on March 22, 1995. She was in her early 40's. I still miss her.

Hi folks! So far it looks like I might the youngest MC fan here. Not that I'm complaining. I'm very happy to be in the company of you people. I just saw MC's concert yesterday. I would love to describe how great it is but there aren't enough words. I tried to get his signature but he left before I got backstage. I thought I would never see a MC concert in my life. I must say that yesterday was the best day of my short life.

My wife Karen and I attended the MC concert this evening (5/17/98) in Dallas - being MC fans from courtship days with our lives enveloped in his music, we swaggled front row seats and sat enthralled! Holding each other and crying through the songs, we both proclaimed it to be the best concert we've ever been to - and we've enjoyed many! MC was excellent, personable, funny, and in great voice despite the haze in the air from the Mexican wildfires blowing into Texas. He drank a lot of water throughout the concert, fighting the effects of the thick air, but his voice was pure and we sat totally transfixed! My only complaint was that the concert was not sold out! Large sections were empty, with people in the back being allowed to move up and fill in once the concert started. But to us, it was a lifetime moment to remember! Just discovered your website - will enjoy exploring in the future! Take care, and stay true! Ray & Karen

Michael - A fan since you were "Cornelius," your Phantom and Broadway renditions are WONDERFUL. Having recently seen one of your shows on PBS, I learned for the first time of your great sense of humor. As we are close in age (I'm 1/27/41) , both of Irish heritage, and after a divorce, both alive and well in the singles world, I now relate even more to those songs you choose and sing so beautifully, I plan to get your new "On Eagles Wings" soon as the songs from it that you did on the PBS show brought tears/understanding to my eyes. The best to you always and "may God hold you in the palm of his hand," (although it appears he's already been doing that.

I saw Michael on Tom Snyder's Late Late Show! I was impressed I still am. I so much wanted to call and speak to Michael, but I was extremely nervous and besides, my parents
have forbidden me to call in the morning, but I would have if I could. I love the songs on Michael's new CD "On Eagle's Wings", but I haven't got one yet, maybe I'll get one next week? And Michael, I am happy your fine and fit, with "a muscular, higly toned, and ironed pumped body" as you say, and I hope your healthy and I hope your family is doing well. YOU ARE THE PHANTOM, MICHAEL and no one can play it like you. Krista, you doing great! Michael, I truly love you and I am a TRUE HONEST TO GOD LOYAL FAN!

Anyone wishing an easy way to let the "powers that be"
know how much you want Michael Crawford to do the POTO
film need only visit "Diane's Phantom of the Opera Movie
Homepage" and type in your opinion. She sends in the pages
to WB and RUG. For traditionalists, she also lists
their addresses.
Also, keep an eye on Dana Parsons column, Wed.,
Fri.,& Sunday in the LA Times. ( http://www.latimes.com )
He has printed 2 articles about MC and the film in the last
month, one of which is quoted at Diane's site. Ta, D.M.

What's up? I just wanted to read some more of theese sign in thingys, and I wanted to add another of my own. Hey, do any of you guys know if M.C. ever reads theese things? I think he should. And if he does, well... Mr. Crawford sir, could you please write something too? I mean, we all hear what everyone else has to say about you and your work, why don't you tell us how you feel about it? I would really enjoy it. Anywho, that was probably pointless. You know, I'm feeling very lonely here, I just got this computer, and it's my first, and for some reason I can't get into any chat rooms about POTO. Stink. Well, if you can, if one of you would mind typing something up, I'll be back soon. One more thing before I go. WHAT'S WITH THIS PHANTOM MOVIE THING?!!!!!!! They are ruining Erik! I can't believe this! If they ever do a movie of POTO, they'd BETTER have Mr.Crawford as Erik. Otherwise, I will just have to protest. {Ha, ha! Little tension joke!} But, I'd better go. Thanks for letting me add this really LONG letter. Bye!

Hello from Canada - are there any other Canadian fans out there?
I want to say how much I enjoy this website and I keep checking
to see if there will be a Toronto concert date listed (wishful
thinking, I suppose). I enjoy knowing that there are others out
there that appreciate the talents of Michael Crawford as much as
I do; sometimes I feel quite alone, living as a do in a town more
into country-western music, and having teenaged daughters more
into alternative music. I am so thankful to have Michael's
recordings to listen to in my car as I travel around for my work.
His voice has brightened my day many times and I look forward to
more songs to lift my spirits (and to sing with as I am very much
a car singer). Keep up the great work. Thanks

Lisa K...sorry I took up so much space and seemed redundant. Actually, that was my very first time to try writing anything and I really don't know the computer and Netscape that well. I'm new to all of this. Please be patient. Also, if you were to reread my multiple messages, you might percieve what I had commented upon differently instead of presuming meanings that weren't there. For instance, I truly DO appreciate MC and his voice/performances and think there has been no better PHANTOM. Secondly, I just commented on some facts about Bandaras..I'm NOT his fan but don't find him a wash-out either. I would rather have MC play the part of the movie POTO than anyone else; however, if that is not to be, I would like to see what kind of performance another could bring about. You certainly have a right to your opinion as do I..so, please don't look on my comments so negatively. All they were were comments..not tablets written in stone (although if you knew my age you would probably think I was there for the original accounting). Thanks, MARY Jones

I am a huge fan of Michael Crawford. I have his autograph, which I recieved at Rose Records in downtown Chicago, when the album, Michael Crawford performs the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber first came out. It was only for a second, I wish I could really meet him just to say how wonderful his voice is, and how great it makes me feel when I listen to him!

Am looking for the Michael Crawford concert video as seen on public television ( which I can't afford). I just read about the idea of using Travolta (revolting) as the Phantom..also, Bandaras. Actually, Bandaras has a good singing voice (not Michael Crawford's range) and he's got sexy movement and hands like MC. Just a comment. Yes, I prefer to have the original on the screen. I've seen three Phantoms: Davis Gaines, Little (melodramatic) and MC four times-Original London/New York/LA casts. Ya can't beat him as the Phantom. After reading many of the comments in the guest book (my first time), I think that MC has a good voice and a trained stage presence, however, Andrew L. Weber selected and trained him to sing the range that Phantom requires. He often is in the falsetto range (neither good nor bad). I like him considerably, but, do not consider him one of the BEST singers EVER. I DO have front row center seats for his Concord Pavillion Concert May 26th. Looking forward to the Music of the Night!!!

I love all things Phantom, Titanic, and X-Files! (and spaceflight too, if you were wondering.) I just finished reading Susan Kay's Phantom for about the gazillionth time & I still can't get enough! I'm planning to write a play based on Leroux's work (but with a time travelling twist, i.e., Phantom is not dead, nor will he ever be!!!!)

Wish you the best of luck with your studies, as I know what you are going through. I am attending University of Alabama in Huntsville in the fall (majoring in mechanical/aerospace engineering).

How much more will the Hollywood money machine continue to insult our intelligence? Travolta or Banderos as the Phantom? Obviously these people have no idea of what true talent is. Michael Crawford is the only one who should play the role on film. He has worked hard and deserves it.

When I heard that Travolta was gonna do Phantom, I shuddered and thought "it could be worse. He did take acting lessons after 'Kotter' and he was great in 'Phenomenon'. Then my wife told me that some clown named Antonio Banderos was going to do it and I almost decided to call Dr. Kevorkian. Nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING, could be worse. UNLESS, of course, you rounded out the cast with the following:
Billy Crystal & Robin Williams as the new owners of the Opera House
'Inga' from the sitcom "Benson" to play the matron
Madonna to play Christine
Conchita Ferrel for the prima donna

You would then have a musical comedy and those people (not me) who don't hold Phantom near & dear might find it amusing...

I have tried to be calm and rational about this Antonio Banderas thing, but I can keep silent no longer. What the he-- is Warner Bros thinking? Antonio Banderas is hispanic for goodness sake! I have nothing against hispanic people, but isn't the phantom supposed to be french? WB has got to be insane! Of course this is coming from the people who created such shows as "The Parent Hood." They might as well cast that stupid singing WB frog to do the part. It might get a better response! Oh well, I suppose I will quit griping now . I am just thoroughly dissappointed with this whole outcome. Well, long live Michael Crawford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi-

Great job you are doing with this page. I've been a Michael Crawford fan
for 10 years, and I'm only 22, well almost 22(July 24). I'm so sorry to hear
about your run in with MCIFA. I've been in the club for 5 years. They really
made me mad about a month ago. Michael was going to film his
special for PBS. All the members got tickets, well I sent in my postcard for 2 tickets
never heard any response, 2 days before I call the hot line and I leave a message
they call me back and say I can only have one due to the response. It was so disorganized
This is Michael's concert, and they can't even organize the tickets. I was so angry at them!!
Well I just wanted to say, keep up the good work, school too!!

Christine:)

I thought of some more to say know that I read so me of the
other messages.I LOVE MICHAEL CRAWFORD SO MUCH. HIS NEW CD
IS GREAT, THE PICTURE IS WONDERFUL TOO. THE PBS SPECIAL IS
SO GREAT, I HOPE IT GENERATES MORE SALES OF HIS CD. I WORK
AT BORDERS BOOKSTORE, SO I LET EVERYBODY KNOW ABOUT HIS NEW
CD. I SELL SO MANY ONCE I TELL THEM THAT HE WAS THE ORIGINAL
PHANTOM. WELL THAT'S ALL FOR NOW. ANYBODY WHO READ THIS, IF
YOU WANT TO E-MAIL ME DO. nberry1@ix.netcom.com :)

Not sure what URL is?? I had seen POTO a couple of years ago in Dallas. Liked the music but was not completely wiped out. After seeing Michael Crawford on PBS I understand why it would be wonderful with him as the Phantom. I'm an Sr. citizen and have seen many wonderful entertainers but he is the most exciting personality I have seen in years. My friend has already bought us tickets for his concert in Las Vegas. I said this may be my "last hurrah" but whatever it takes to get there and see him it will be worth it. I do enjoy your website and to be able to keep up with what he is doing is great.

Hey, all you Michael Crawford fans! I don't mean to sound snobby, but in this town, I AM the biggest Michael Crawford fan, and I think that I could be his biggest fan in the world. I just love everything about him, the way he acts, how he supports charities, the way that he is NOT some big stuck up star, his voice,{ duh } but really what I like most about him is the way he has inspired so many people to do what they want to do, and to never give up their dreams. I know that he has inspired me WAY more than anyone could ever imagine. He is the sweetest, most nicest person that I know. I wish him the best of luck in all of his future work, and all the happiness that the world can offer.

I UNFORTUNATELY HAD NEVER GOTTEN TO SEE MICHAEL CRAWFORD IN "PHANTOM OF THE OPERA"
ON BROADWAY IN NEW YORK AND I WAS TOTALLY
SADDENED. IT'S BEEN ONE OF MY DEEPEST DESIRES TO HAVE SEEN HIM PERFORM. I DID HOWEVER CATCH HIM RECENTLY IN CONCERT ON PBS AND WLIW STATIONS IN MY NJ AREA AND FELL
IN LOVE WITH HIM AS WELL AS HIS SINGING. HE IS TRULY A WONDERFUL, AND SPECTACULAR PERFORMER! THE WAY HE EXPRESSES HIMSELF IS
SO BEAUTIFUL AND HEARTWARMING MAKES IT EASY TO RECOGNIZE HE'S SINGING DIRECTLY FROM HIS SOUL. I HOPE TO SEE MORE OF HIM IN MY AREA AND THAT WHEN HE DOES COME TO PERFORM, THAT I WILL NOT MISS IT THIS TIME! MICHAEL, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, GOD BLESS AND WATCH OVER YOU AND KEEP YOU IN HIS TENDER LOVING CARE!!!

P.S. I WAS INFORMED THAT MICHAEL WILL BE IN

I think that Michael Crawford is the ultimate.
My husband and I saw him at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio
and plan on seeing him again when he comes to the Houston area.
If you haven't seen him, DO IT NOW! He is a one in a million.

Thank you for a marvelous site dedicated to my all-time favorite performer, Michael Crawford!!! A wonderful friend re-introduced me to Michael a few years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. Though I never got to seem him perform in POTO, I did have the pleasure of seeing him on tour with the Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber a few years ago. I look forward to June 16 when he will again be on the stage of Starlight Theater here in Kansas City. No one has a greater voice nor a bigger stage presence than Michael. If you haven't seen him on stage and can get to where he will be on tour, make it a point to see him. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Not often do I dash home from work to view a TV show (on a bus, no less, since our clunker gave out six months ago). But I did so on Monday, March 9, 1998, the evening PBS aired "Michael Crawford in Concert". Such a warm and charming gentleman ... such a beautiful and powerful voice. My dear brother, with whom I reside, is suffering from clinical depression. These days, it takes much to lift his spirits; thankfully, he remained absorbed throughout the program and seemed to enjoy it thoroughly. God bless you, Mr. Crawford. I look forward to purchasing "On Eagle's Wings" and only wish that circumstances might enable us to attend one of your concerts.

I just saw Michael's show on PBS. It brought back so many fum memories of when Michael was here in New York doing "Phantom of the Opera" ten years ago. I saw it at the Majestic Theatre like eighteen times in the standing room only section where you literally stood through the whole show. It was worth it to see such an amazing talent. I saw the PBS special with Michael Crawford. I adored it!
It was the most funny, beautiful, touching, and magical
things yet. I also saw, yesterday, Sarah Brightman on the
Regis and Kathie Lee Show, and she said how great it was to
work in Phantom. I also saw Michael with Rosie O'Donnell.
Rosie is right. Michael is a perfect gentleman, and so
dashingly handsome. (STEP BACK BRAD PITT! MICHAEL IS
COMING TO TOWN!) I am glad to hear that Michael is allright
and that his grandchild Charlie is fine too. I love you Michael.
Keep up the good work. And let's hope I will get "On Eagles Wings"

I just love Michael Crawford & Phantom & Sarah Brightman - I've seen Phantom a zillion times - once in London - also saw Sarah there at the Savoy in Relative Values - she was great. Like your stuff!

I absolutely adore Michael Crawford, always have. This is the first time I have gotten the chance to sign in. I am very excited about the telecast on PBS to be aired Monday. It is going to zig! Here's a thought: Michael Crawford in leading role for Jekyll and Hyde, the Braodway production. Wouldn't his voice be perfect for it?!

I too am a MC fan, I think your site is wonderful! Shame on Andrew L-W for not casting Michael in the Phantom movie! Didn't he learn from Madonna in Evita?

Please send me your concert schedule for the summer. I would like to take my wife to a Michael Crawford concert as it will be our 25th wedding anniversary and I would love to surprise her. We live close to Washington D.C. Thank you.

think that this of casting John Travolta in this "Phantom" movie is terrible idea and I hope everyone out there will write letters and stuff about what a great job Michael would do with the part.

Thank you Krista for all your support during the trying time
I have had with the MCIFA. It is sad that we each in our own
ways had to go through what we did, but we are better off
without them. I just wonder if Michael knows what is being
done to loyal fans, in his name. I don't think he would
condone it. Anyway, if there is anyone else who reads this
and has had trouble with the MCIFA, I am here to comiserate.

Signed, sadder but wiser, Deanna

Oh yay! The guestbook is back! Just for the record I'd like to say that Michael is the most incredible man on the face of the earth and if anyone has any suggestions, on how I could convince him to marry me, let me know!
Love,
Caroline
