Karen's Dallas Dream Come TrueSubmitted by Karen H. Although my experience with Michael Crawford happened over five years
ago, it seems as if it just happened yesterday. My father planned a trip
for my family to go to Dallas to see Michael perform in the Music of
Andrew Lloyd Webber production--You would not believe the excitement I
had since I had a huge crush on Michael since I was ten years old! We
showed up extra early to see the show and to maybe get a glimpse of
Michael. I carried with me a porcelain phantom's mask for Michael to
sign but little did I know that he had been signing autographs outside
the theater while I was inside waiting for any chance for him to make an
unexpected appearance. Well, of course the show was absolutely
spectacular and I practically swooned throughout the entire performance.
After the show had ended, I begged security to let me back stage but of
course they assured me that Michael had already left and would be
signing no more autographs. Of course I was heart broken--We left and I
expected nothing more to happen until......We were some of last fans to
leave when I spotted a limo parked behind the back entrance. I begged my
father to please turn around and go back. I just knew it was him! He
stopped about 50 yards away from the limo when I jumped out. I was so
excited I didn't know what to do. I got closer to the limo and it began
to pull away......I ran fast enough to catch up to the window and then
the window rolled down......There he was!!!!!!!!! That beautiful
smile!!!!!!!!I watched the limo pull away and all I could say was
"Micheal....I absolutely love you!!!!!!!!" He called back to me "Thank
you love- and I love you ,too!!!!!!" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Talk about a dream
come true!
