Welcome to my newly redesigned Michael Crawford site! The site originally debuted in late April a few years ago (late April of 1996, I believe). The current design ("M2") premiered on August 28, 1998. Krista's Michael Crawford Website is purely a fan work; I'm not in any way affiliated with Michael Crawford professionally, and I am not a member of the fan club that bears his name. 
For those asking about my background, I'm a recent college graduate in the Midwest who produced this site as a tribute to her favorite performer. I just saw Michael recently in concert, and it was an incredible reward for me, after all this time of keeping up the original site. He's a great performer, a wonderful talent, and I'm very pleased to be opening this newly redesigned site in his name.
So where do I get my sources, my images, my sounds, and so on? Well, I do now have a large article and image library of my own, thanks to the generous donations of several site friends. (Thanks, AM and CR!) I also receive a lot for submissions and tips from the people who visit this site--that's why I call them site friends, because they're just as much responsible for the good stuff here as I am. I try to credit all images to the right source, by the way; if you see any errors or missing credits, please let me know. (As is said on the main page, the large graphic of Michael there and the small graphic in the "Back To" button are both courtesy of our friends at Atlantic Records.)
Now, to finish this off by letting you know why this page is necessary: the purpose of this area is to have a space in which I can keep you updated on the site--upcoming plans, problems, just anything that requires a public statement. Right now, of course, there's not much to report, except to ask that you let me know if any of the links in the new site design are faulty or otherwise bugs have crept in. You know how to contact me.
Update, 8/23: I am reading excerpts from Michael's forthcoming autobiography, Parcel Arrived Safely Tied With a String, and I'm a little stunned. His mother died of the same illness I had this past winter (pancreatis, a condition that happens when a gallstone sneaks out of the gallbladder and causes a fluid back-up within the body). Wow, medicine has come a long way, eh? (Note to everyone out there: listen to your body! Pain is *never* just something you've imagined! And follow Michael's advice--always get a second opinion!)
Update, 11/23: It is getting to be that time of year again, friends, when we gather with our loved ones to celebrate a series of cherished holidays. I would like to ask a small favor of all of you this year. If ever you found anything at this site useful or interesting, please donate something this holiday season to the needy of this world. Give a single can of food at your local grocery collection for the hungry; donate your old and unused coats to Goodwill or a shelter; answer a request on a Wish Tree at your local mall. No matter how small the gesture may seem to you, it can have an enormous impact on the lives of others.
