Ray Martin in Oz asked him if he hadn't been Frank Spencer-like when he rented a boat in England a few years ago. MC looked hurt and said, "You know that one? It was only last year." Anyway, he proceeded to tell how as the first stop of the MALW tour in England was in Bournemouth (a lovely town on the English Channel), he went to rent a boat to sail with friends. The boat owner said (good West Country accent), "Oh, yes sir and when wou...".

He had recognized Frank Spencer. "Uh, no, we don't have any. But you've been a favorite in our family for years, sir". MC--"NO, wait a minute. I know what I'm doing. Really! Besides, I've done this since then" (covers right side of his face and sings "Slowly, gently"). He turned back to Ray. "So I got the boat.....and immediately ran it aground!" (roars with laughter).
