MC eats a bug!

During his '98 concert tour, he told this story in Tampa, Florida just before his encore song. He had been in South Florida the night before--outdoor concert. He said that he came out and saw all the lovely bugs that Florida is famous for. He said he thought, "Now, I wonder what would happen if I stepped on one of these bugs while singing." But he said he had to get control of himself and say, "Now Michael, get a hold of yourself."

Well, he said he began to sing "Gethsemane," his very dramatic, opening number. And a bug flew into his mouth. He tried to spit it out when he wasn't singing, making sure not to do it into the microphone.

Well, he became a little frustrated, so he said, and forgot not to spit into the microphone. It was at a very dramatic moment in the song, so he tried to make the noise sound like it was a part of the song. He ended by saying that he must have swallowed the bug because he never saw it again.
