Kissing the Phantom

MC: The actual plastic mask you kept for as long as you could because that was so delicate and that would be torn off you ever night to expose the makeup underneath and that was the hard part to keep on. One night with Christine, very early on, I lent forward and it's her who has to make the advance to kiss me and she kissed me and as she went away I saw my lips on her mouth. And so I had to slowly, very subtly, look as if I wanted seconds and pull her back towards me. I pulled her upstage, grabbed my lips back, put them on, and I turned back and she said afterwards, "You had them on upside down." :-)
